Discussed the upcoming kitchen renovation and reconfiguration will include all new equipment, a walk-in cooler, and new mechanical dishwasher. Thermometers installed throughout all coolers. Dishwasher is working as per manufacturer's specs. Hair restraints and hand barriers used. Discussed the life of, and future replacement of the service trays (hopefully they will be replaced during the new renovation).

Comments: Bridgeport Elementary School, inspection conducted Wednesday during first lunch service line. Lunch, today: pasta with sauce, meatballs, hot dogs, green beans, and tossed salad. Cook temps observed adequate: sauce 175F, meatballs 200F, hot dogs 167F, and green beans 170F. Discussed on-going issues with the thermometer in the dishwasher, the district and the service technicians are reputedly aware. The kitchen and all its equipment was observed to be maintained with high attention to detail for cleanliness. Thermometers available and installed throughout. Digital and analog stem thermometers utilized and observed at proper calibration. Pre-wrapped utensils supplied. Discussed district plan to renovate the kitchen, to include a new dishwasher, and new equipment and layout. Kitchen staff is complimented for cleanliness.
