No hot holding at time of inspection. Meatloaf cooking in oven. Significant improvement observed in overall cleanliness and owner/operator has addressed most violations cited during the previous inspection. The refrigeration interiors have been cleaned, thermometers installed. The front grill and hood have been cleaned, and the rear hood is in the process of being cleaned. The scrap-basket area at the front counter has been cleaned, and the area lined with vinyl paneling. Significant improvement to the restroom was observed: a new functional sink and faucet were installed, the restroom was cleaned, and will be adequately supplied after a detailed cleaning is performed. The drain-line in the basement has been repaired/reconnected, and the grease trap has been properly installed. Discussed with owner/operator; (1) fines may be imposed for repeat violations, especially for violations regarding the presence of pets (cat) in the kitchen, (2) on-going/continued maintenance and repairs to floor tiles and peeling paint in the kitchen walls. |

Revealed to owner/operator that the City Of Oneida is experiencing grease accumulation in the sanitary sewer on Phelps Street. Mr. Morey ensured this inspector that he is diligent not to allow any grease to go down the drain. Morey's has a Buffalo Biodiesel collection bin out back. Discussed required re-inspection in 2-3 weeks. This inspection was conducted earlier and then reported and debriefed an hour later. This inspector had to respond to an emerging complaint. |
