Per operator, spoke with town clerk 1/6/17, with anticipated receipt of an exterior refuse bin. This is expected to be delivered within a week, to allow DPW to pick up once weekly. Room currently contains 5 garbage bags of refuse, with trash contained in bags. Rear storage room of facility noted with excess fryer oil being retained, amid paper box storage. States fills ~ 6 buckets per week. Has oil collection bin in rear of building which is picked up once monthly. States is ~ 1/3 full at present. Instructed to eliminate standing collection of fryer oil, and to continue discard at a much more frequent interval, thus reducing risks. Recommended flashing strip on rear door if any storage is continued, although states does not intend to return to use once garbage bin is received. Will follow up on delivery of bin, and refuse handling, along with oil discard. |
